Contour Lift
The Contour Lift is an innovative procedure that diminishes the signs of aging. This minimally invasive procedure provides many of the benefits of a facelift — it can elevate brows, cheeks and mid-face area and soften the appearance of jowls. Yet it is done under local anesthesia with minimal discomfort. This procedure has been in use for over a decade through a variety of styles.
Q. How does it work?
A. Although this procedure is commonly referred to as non-surgical, it is in fact a surgery. The Contour Lift uses “threads” that adhere to the tissues of the face and cause a lifting effect. Threads are inserted underneath the skin and are anchored accordingly to reach your desired results.
Q. What can I expect?
A. This procedure is performed here at WellMedica. You will be given local anesthesia to minimize any discomfort. This procedure is approximately 2 hours in length and you will need someone to drive you home afterwards.
Q. How long does it last and what are the advantages compared to a traditional face lift?
A. A Contour Lift procedure lasts as long as a traditional face lift. You will have a more natural look and be without the scars of the more traditional face lift. The Contour Lift also heals in days versus weeks with the traditional face lift.
Q. What is recovery like?
A. You will be asked to wear a compression garment on your procedure area for 3-5 days to help minimize swelling. There is a possibility of bruising but we have several different holistic options to reduce this side effect. Any discomfort you might feel can be alleviated by using Motrin.
Q. When can I return to work?
A. You can return to work 2-5 days after your procedure.
