Beware of anyone offering either Botox® or Dysport® regularly for less than what you usually see in the area. Many providers offering Botox® or Dysport® might be highly discounted because they import their product at a discount from outside the United States, making the product being used just as real as a “designer” bag but it is fake. Remember, when you are injecting a substance into your body it is not something to bargain hunt.

In the days leading up to your Dysport® or Botox® injections, it’s best to follow a couple of simple steps. These will help to improve your results and minimize potential side effects. Here’s what to do in the week before Botox® or Dysport® injections:

  • Avoid aspirin or anti-inflammatory medication.
  • Avoid alcohol for at least 2 to 3 days before the procedure.

Bruising and swelling are to be expected with possible swollen spots from the needle injection sites. Dysport® can take up to 2 weeks to fully work; however, you may start to notice the effect in as soon as 3 days.
