Love Your Face

Cosmetic Injectables

No matter how youthful you feel, your face may tell a different story. Sunlight, natural aging, and lifestyle factors can diminish the collagen layer that supports the skin showing wrinkles and lines that just don’t seem to ‘feel’ like the real you. However, different injectables can reduce the signs of aging.

Injectables Procedures  and Treatments

Reston Virginia Dermatology Medical Spa & Wellness Center

There is a vast array of injectables on the market worldwide. So from bovine collagen to hyaluronic acid, you can smooth away these imperfections that come with age in a matter of minutes.  An ultra-fine needle is used to inject the product directly into the skin in tiny amounts, resulting in minimal discomfort. To optimize your comfort during the short procedure, Dr. Ali anesthetizes the area by applying some numbing cream to the treatment location.

What happens at a Botox Party?

Depending on what interests your group we can alter this to your personal preference, and are open to hearing any suggestions you have while booking your WellMedica experience. This event is extremely private and attendees will receive quality time with our Board Certified Cosmetic Laser Surgeon, Dr. Dima Ali.

What is Excessive Sweating?

The medical term for excessive sweating is hyperhidrosis, and it usually begins in childhood or early adolescence. It is necessary for the body to sweat in order to cool itself, and to prevent overheating. Yet, people who have hyperhidrosis sweat even when the body does not need to be cooled. Although this condition can effect any site of your body, the sites most commonly affected are the palms, soles, and axillae. This excessive sweating can hinder one’s everyday life. Hands can sweat so much that shaking hands with others causes great anxiety. Underarms can soak through clothes causing obvious sweat marks. Therefore, many seek out treatment to help alleviate their hyperhidrosis.

What should I do prior to a Restalyne treatment?

Restylane requires no pretesting, but you should take a few precautions before being treated. Avoid using aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, St. John's Wort, or high doses of Vitamin E supplements prior to treatment, because these may increase bruising or bleeding at the injection site. Also, if you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, discuss this with Dr. Ali, she can prescribe medication to minimize a recurrence.

What causes sagging ears?

One reason for ears to sag more so than others is if you are guilty of wearing heavy earrings. Heavy earrings can stretch out the ear lobes so much that they are far beyond using anti-aging cream to reverse the effect. Luckily, fillers help protect ears from heavy earrings and can actually prevent delicate lobes from ripping with extra cushion. Another reason for sagging ears is of course aging. Like our face, and neck with time our skin starts to sag.
